Letter to the King - Essay Example While attending the University of (), I was chosen as a Student Ambassador and carried out my duties effectively. I proceeded to post- graduate studies at Mitt Universitetet, where I received a Master Degree in Political Science. My Masterââ¬â¢s thesis was focused on the political and economical impacts of the recent financial crisis on European Union countries. After graduation, I worked in the Department of Integration at the City of Sundsvall as a Project Manager on a six (6) month project co-financed by the European Union and the city. The objective of the project was to determine level to which immigrants have integrated into the Swedish society. The study primarily focused especially on Muslims immigrants. The project also sought ways and avenues to promote and encourage more immigrants to willingly integrate into their host societies. Whilst in Sweden, I have maintained good contacts in Morocco and in (name of city), the city where I live in Sweden. My experience coupled with my desire to serve my country is the reason why I contacted the Embassy of Kingdom of Morocco in Stockholm. As an active member of the Swedish Social Democratic Party, one of the most influential political organizations in Sweden, I am aware of the actions and unchecked determinations of a separatist group Polisario, which is very active in Sweden. It is no secret that Polisario and its members have canvassed and receive both financial and other forms of support from Swedes who sympathize with them. Polisario has convinced a majority of Swedes that their actions and agenda are for the benefit of the Moroccan people. In doing so, organizations like Polisario have succeeded in ââ¬Ëbrandingââ¬â¢ the Kingdom of Morocco as not being a democratic and popular country, and in so damaged the reputation of Morocco. Your Majesty, it is my opinion that the Embassy of Morocco has not successfully articulated or defended your policies or Moroccoââ¬â¢s reputation. As a direct

Marshall stated that "The equal opportunities culture in mid-1990's has been one that has tended to have a narrow focus, and to fuse social justice issues with performance standards and improvement, with a greater emphasis on the latter." According to Chmiel the UK legislation does not extend to gay or lesbian workers and it provides only a framework to be adhered to thus the companies may adhere to and comply to the legislation loosely. "The basic premise of equal opportunities is that talent and ability are spread equally through all groups, including men and women, all able bodied and disabled people, and all ethnic groupings." As per the survey conducted by Honey, Meager and Williams in 1993 only one out of 20 organisations approached the legal quota of disabled employees. Discrimination was reported by 22 percent gay and lesbians when applying for jobs, 24 percent in promotions and about 50 percent due to their sexuality (1999). Chmiel further stated that women recruited and promoted under the programme Opportunity 2000 carried a 'Stigma of Incompetence', experienced lower self confidence and backlash from other members in the organisation (1999). Survey results published by Cara Aitchison stated that it was difficult to identify discrimination in recruitment, selection and promotion situations since many reasons could be effectively used as smoke screens, but discrimination occurs in day to day life such as indifferent attitudes

In the news Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words - 2
In the news - Essay Example The whole scene was set up like a real time support system. The funny scenes were created as an effort to provide people a comic relief, as well as to market its low budget medicines directed to provide relief for single ailments, such as head-ache, insomnia, body ache etc. The scenes included a high-heel wearing model walking on a tread-mill to market for its ââ¬Å"Help I have a blisterâ⬠packet of bandages, and a performer sleeping in a store window to divert interest towards its ââ¬Å"Help I canââ¬â¢t sleepâ⬠caplets (Olsen pgB3).The store team not only imparted information to passers by regarding ailments, but also distributed its head-ache packets and nausea medicine to polling stations and campaign offices. Their marketing style may seem comical and wacky, but the store founders claim to have conveyed a serious message. I have understood from my marketing insight that they have tried to simplify the buying process for the customers, who often seem confused by the varying brands and products on offer. People end up buying more than they need, due to excessive marketing campaigns, this simplified strategy of low dosages for single ailments not a host of ailments, made people realize what they aim to buy for lesser prices. Marketing should be done for people who are not experts, but still customers, who want simple solutions for complex problems, with creativity and fun all rolled into one. This campaign carved a niche for itself in the already crowded pharmaceutical market; it included viral videos, performance windows and tactile packaging to make the message clear, direct and on-the-spot (Olsen pgB3). An analysis of libyan protected areas as ecotourism resources Essay
An analysis of libyan protected areas as ecotourism resources - Essay Example Libyaââ¬â¢s nature reserves and national parks are maintained by the national park and technical committee of wildlife. Some of the nature reserves include Zellaf, Tripoli, New Hiesha, Bier Ayyad, and Benghazi nature reserve. Other protected areas include Giarabub, Garabuli, Bombe gulf, Beljuj Valley, Grotto de Lete, Serir, Jalo, Serir, Sabratha, and Wadi Kham (Eagles, 2010). Protected areas and national parks that exist within a political social is complex to understand and difficult to predict. The socio-political setting is crucial in that it influences the day-to-day and long-term planning of parks. Some trends that occur in the tourism setting such as war or revolution are beyond the capability of park managers to handle. However, there are trends that require managerial response. When managerial power is implemented in the tourism setting it influences the societal and political roles of these areas. The first global trend in nature tourism is that park visitation in most co untries such as Libya will increase in the next years. This based on the fact that, there has been an increase in the use of tourism parks and protected areas for the past 100 years. The significant increase of park visitation is because of international travellers who have a strong drive to visit other countries (Eagles, 2010). The second trend is that park tourism increases public collaboration and participation. It is important to note that, park tourism is about people and their interests. With this, many people invest their time and money to benefit personally towards tourism. The desires and needs of park visitors increase public participation that expands the demands of public participation in the parks. This trend increases the recognition that the park visitors are important, and thus should be given a high priority. The third trend is that, increasing the level of education in the society increases the demand in park services and park management. It is worth note that, hig her education increases earnings and the broader view of the societal spending and more desire and opportunity to travel from one country to the other (Chivvis, 2012). The large segment of people that uses national parks is highly-educated citizens who earn good salary packages. By increasing the level of education, a nation is guarantee of having many travellers within and outside the country. Still, this increases the use levels in protected areas and parks in the future. As people further their education, their interest for travelling and spending develop. This trend also increases the concept of managers seeing more demand of increasing their knowledge, interpretation, and information about the values that the park contains. The management team work hard to satisfy the needs of audience (Mediterranean Area., 2012). The population shift in the developed countries increases the number of citizens visiting other countries. People in their early senior years and are healthy particip ates more in travelling than the elderly. Most of this travel includes nature-based travel, national parks, and private ecolodges. With appropriate infrastructure, accommodation and services, a country is more likely to attract potential visitors. With suitable services, tourists are more likely to spend more money travelling and enjoying the services and accommodation of parks. The fifth trend is that, technology increases the potential means of travelling and leisure opportunities. As technology advances from one level to the other,
